Program Introduction & Eligibility Requirements

We’re always working to make FrameShop better, and our customers are our best source of real-world feedback. The Wizard Beta Tester Program gives a select group of FrameShop users exclusive early access to upcoming software versions before they are released to the general public. Your hands-on experience in a working business helps us identify issues, refine features, and deliver a better software experience for all users.

To be eligible, you must be a current owner of a Wizard Computerized Mat Cutter (CMC), have an active FrameShop license, and maintain a reliable internet connection for downloading software builds and submitting feedback.

Beta versions are pre-release software and may contain bugs or unfinished features. While rare, a critical issue could result in temporary downtime. We take these situations seriously and typically provide fixes within 24 hours.

As a Beta Tester, you'll be among the first users to explore new features and functionality before they are publicly announced. Because of this, we ask that you keep any information confidential until the official release. Full details are outlined in the Participation Terms & NDA document below.

Join the Program

Customers may join our Beta Tester Program only during designated Open Enrollment Periods. The next signup period will be June 15-30, 2026 for FrameShop version 7.1.8.

After enrollment closes, applicants are reviewed and selected to create a representative testing group across Wizard CMC models. This helps ensure that feedback reflects how FrameShop performs across our full product line. While we'd love to include everyone who applies, testing resources are limited, and not all applicants will be accepted for every beta cycle.

Accepted Beta Testers will be contacted by the Wizard Technical Support team with onboarding information and instructions for downloading and installing the beta build.

By signing up, you agree to keep any unreleased software, features, functionality, screenshots, and related information confidential until the software is publicly released. Please review the Participation Terms & NDA carefully before submitting the form below.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In most cases, the beta version you test will become the official public release, so you'll already be running the latest version. If additional updates or changes are required, we'll let you know

  • Possibly, but it's uncommon. If a critical bug is identified that affects your day-to-day operation, we prioritize those fixes and typically provide an updated build within one business day. For most frame shops, any interruption is minimal.

  • Testing periods vary by release, but typically last between 2 and 4 weeks. You'll receive an estimated testing timeline and instructions when you're onboarded.

  • We won’t track you down, but reporting is the purpose of the program. The more bugs, issues, and suggestions our testers share, the better we can improve FrameShop for everyone.

Bug Reporting

Found something? We want to hear about it.

Use the form below to submit bug reports during your testing period. Please include as much detail as possible, including:

  • What you were doing

  • What you expected to happen

  • What actually happened

  • Any error messages received

Screenshots and software screen recordings are always helpful when available. The more information you provide, the faster our team can reproduce, investigate, and resolve the issue.

We sincerely appreciate the time and effort our Beta Testers invest in helping improve FrameShop. While we look for opportunities to recognize and thank participants, we ask that you join the program in the spirit of helping us build a better product for the entire custom picture framing community.
