See y’all later, goin’ sailin’.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of a great customer and friend in James “Jim” Cook.

Jim Cook, Founder & Owner of Cook’s Art Supply and Framing

Jim was the founder and owner of Cook’s Art Supply and Framing in North Canton, Ohio, and a die-hard loyal Wizard customer. He passed away on Saturday, September 7th at the age of just 67 from a sudden heart attack.

Jim was simply a great human being. Some would say he could pass as a real life Santa Claus, and his big heart for people probably made this all the more true. He considered his customers as friends, and he loved his iconic “Red” store in Canton.

He was also passionate about sailing. Unfortunately, Jim didn’t get the chance to sail around the world as he had planned to do when he retired. But he was well known for signing off saying, “see y’all later, goin’ sailin’,” as he headed out the door for the day.

Farewell dear friend. We will miss you. May you have fair winds and following seas. Sail on.
